Machine Operator
Premier Contracting LTD is growing and looking to add two full-time Machine Operators to our team in Thunder Bay. We are seeking reliable, safety-focused individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and want steady, long-term employment.
Position Summary
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment on a variety of job sites, supporting excavation, construction, and site preparation projects while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, or similar machinery
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow site plans, grade checks, and supervisor direction
- Work alongside crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work site
- Adhere to all company and Ministry of Labour safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience operating construction equipment
- Valid driver’s licence (AZ/DZ an asset)
- Strong knowledge of job site safety practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of performing job duties
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
